Keep her inside is the only way to keep her out of trouble. Cats that go out, especially ones that hunt, should be dewormed once or twice a year as well. Many parasites can cause diarrhea.

There are many causes of diarrhea. It can be food that was eaten or it can be parasites, or a viral infection called Feline Panleukopenia (Is you cat vaccinated against this virus?), or bacterial infection (Salmonellosis) or a parasite called Giardia. I cannot be sure if the cause is really the food eaten outside your house. If this is really the cause then it might be food poisoning caused by bacteria such as Salmonella so would need an an antibiotic like the SulfaTrimethoprim. If not , you have to go to a vet so that it can be examined , have fecal exam and have him injected with antibiotic or given antiparasitic tx if the cause is parasite. If you just want to try medicate first, then give him antibiotic. If it will not work , go to a vet.

Its a difficult one - my neighbour also leaves food out and the same thing happens with my cat.
I can only say make sure your cat has not got worms, that would normally make them eat anything they see, also take it to the vet and check their are no other problems with its health which could be causing this. If the diarroheah still persists then apart from keeping your cat in and away from the spicy food there is not much you can do.

Diarrhea can be a symptom of many things. You need to take your cat to the vet and have the diarrhea examined for parasites. Your cat could also have food allergies or something more serious. Your vet can figure out what is wrong.

Perhaps if you truly cared for your cat, it would be where it belonged...indoors and not subjected to eating out of a garbage can, hit by a car or attacked by another animal. Just to let you know cats have been domesticated.

If your cat has loose stools as a result, I suggest Purina Tender Vittles (attempt to make this your cats main food source). It works like a charm. My vet suggested it to me for when my cat has loose stools (sensative stomach). Hope this helps

My last cat had chronic diarrhoea, and the vet recommended bland foods like white fish, boiled rice and scrambled eggs!

For my cats, the vet orders 1cc of peptobismol four times a day for no more than three days. Cats can die from an overdose of aspirin and pepto. has aspirin in it - so no more than three days.
