I do pretty good with the approach and conversation part but when i ask for the number i get a response like i got a bf.

Usually women don't like it when a men asks them 4 there number simply cause they r afraid ....2 give it 2 someone they don't know. Besides there are some guyz that just keep calling & calling .....they don't get a hint. Practically girls just wonna avoid all of that annoyence!!!
Try putting the ball in her court!!! Instead of asking 4 her number just give her urs it's a lot less pressuring 4 the girl.
Use a line like "heres my number if u wonna go out sometime...give me a call ". Oh yeah don't b 2 eager......don't beg her 2 call, women like a man thats confident and secure!!! OK? I hoped I helped u!! GOOD LUCK!
