Well, there's a bad word, minigiata (don't know if I spelled it right) but I don't think that the grandmother would have used it. I speak italian pretty moderate and have lots of italian friends and Mingia or mingiata is something like d i c k or something. Can't really translate it 100% but it's a bad word. Did she say it to you?

"Mannaggia" (with 2 N) in italian is a very polite way to say "damn!".
"Eat!" is "mangia" or "mangiate", NOT "mannaggia".

"mannaggia" means "darn it"...it's sort of a soft curse word that you use when something goes wrong or not the way you want it to go...thumbs up to all the Italians who've answered...don't listen to the rest...;))
