Do I test now or wait?

Question

Due on my period to day but me and my partner have been trying for a baby no sign so far today of getting boobs are quite saw and have bee majorly emoitional but could easily be my body getting back to normal been off da pill 6 months cant decide what to do please help do i test or do i wait a little longer suspense is killing me

also peeing lots more than usual but could be coincident

I would advise you to wait until your period is actually overdue, a week or more if poss. A pregnancy test works by detecting hormones in your urine, an early test can cause a false result because there is not enough of the hormone. The longer you can leave it, the more hormone, and the more accurate the result!

If you test now you won't get a conclusive answer; even though the pregnancy test companies say they can detect pregnancy early if you read the small print it's in something like 50% of cases, so whatever the result you'll end up having to test again.
If you're really dying to know, take a test just in case and because it will probably feel better than doing nothing.

I had very sore boobs and cramps and thought it was my body getting used to being off the pill, but I was pregnant. Do a test, you might be pleasantly surprised!
However, I didn't get a positive until 4 days after I expected my period. I got a negative the day after it was due. So keep testing if you don't get your period.

I'd give it another week before testing, but don't ever give up hope. My sister in law was trying for about 3 years to become pregnant, and had just about given up hope. They were going for tests, etc, when she suddenly fell pregnant! After trying for so long, they now have a 4 year old boy, a 2 year old girl and a new arrival of a boy just 2 weeks old!

I would probably test out of curiosity.

Think about how you will feel if it is negative though... I found myself testing before my period was even due just in the hope of a positive result... as it was the result was negative and I had to deal with those emotions...
I think it is always good to wait a few days as you are more likely to get a reliable result.. but I understand how eager you are to find out..

If your period was due today and you have still not received it take an at home pregnancy test. Most of them can even detect pregnancy up to 5 days early. Remember there ar no false positives only false negatives.

it never hurts to take a test, at least you will know then one way or the other, but if it is negative dont give up. a friend of mine has been trying for a baby for 2 years and she gave birth to a boy on saturday! sometimes it takes time but its worth the wait!

You could take a test, but be careful which pregnancy test you choose. some of them dont work in very early pregnancy. the best one to buy is 'first response' it is designed to detect early pregnancy hormones. good luck and best wishes!

tests can now predict on the first day you period is due - if you really want to test then do one and save yourself from going mad but i suggest you buy a double one as it works out cheaper

some checks say they could answer 5 days previously your neglected era. They by no ability worked for me although. The attempt did not artwork till I had neglected my era. continually take it with the first morning urine because there are extra hormones in it. reliable luck and want you get the answer that you pick.
