My opinion.. I think Toyota will be ahead of the curve.. as far as a new manufacturer coming into a bigtime sport.. for a couple of reasons.. one they came into the Craftsman Truck Series and have pretty much owned.. and as one of the other answers stated Toyota has nearly unlimited funding.. think about F1 and the fact that they have no spending limit .. toyota will fall back on their racing knowledge gathered from the truck series..granted cars handle differently than the trucks and all but the power in the engine department will not be lacking. I personally am a Chevy fan as far as NASCAR goes for the simple reason the Monte Carlo body looks alot better than the Ford Fusion body .. on the track.. The Dodge Charger is a good looking car too but I grew up watching Earnhardt Sr, and others in the late seventies, early 80's right up till now and I always thought the Chevy body looked better.. but from what Ive seen in pictures on NASCAR's website the Toyota Camry is a good looking ride.. Toyota will make the race maybe not all of them depending on the driver as others have listed.. but the best sponsors will be there and I just hope NASCAR doesnt implement some rule change allowing these guys driving the Toyotas an advantage.. Because Toyota is gonna bring a whole new fan base to NASCAR.. i.e. All the import fans who have really started to make a name for themselves here in American Autosports but I think NASCAR will be fair about it.. they dont wanna upset the fans who've been here since the start.. I think Toyota will be fine and Chevy Ford and Dodge will be too. It will take a little while to sort out advantages and disadvantages.. but then again NASCAR will be fair to all manufactorers involved. So to sum it up Toyota may win the thing just because of an un-foreseen advantage in the aero package during a 500 mile race but this would only make you Chevy, Ford and Dodge fans happy in the long run for the simple fact that it will force those manufactorers to step up their programs. I hope they do well just for the fact of the fan base coming along with them. Change isnt always a bad thing ,but I still want Jr. to win..lol

A lot depends on what their final driver lineup looks like. There is no reason to think the Toyota cars cannot compete with the regular circuit....I know there is not a lot of fan support for the Toyota group, so I wouldn't mind seeing them shutout of the top 10.

Not a Toyota fan and never will be. I can't wait to see the first dumbass to be wearing Toyota Racing gear! I hope they lead......the slow pack of cars that are getting ready to be lapped!
My attitude would be different if we were talking about bringing back Pontiac or Buick but.......Toyota! Toyota sounds like something you say when you're puking!

that Red Bull team will be tough...and DJ will allways be in the lead pack at the end of the Daytona race....but Vickers and Allmondiner?

I know all NASCAR fans wish the toyota's are all 10 mph off the pace...just like Wlatrip was all season.

I hope they all wreck. Toyota in NASCAR is just wrong. They shoulf have never let them in the truck series. Whose next, VW?

with all the money toyota has to spend versus American cars (Ford, Dodge and GM trying to dig out of big financial trouble) they'll probably do better than most people hope they will, thanks to all the people who buy toyotas instead of buying American.
