My home was surrounded by numerous police officers, no search warrant, they came in full force without my consent they started shining red lights on my ceilings and walls as well as the outside of the house. They all had there guns drawn inside and outside. Finally the deputy in charge showed me a pawnslip from the pawn shop with my signature on it, I had signed the pawnslip 7 months prior for a friend who had no I.D. I was arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm because 16 years ago I had a felony on my record. I was never told I could not be around firearms, and the gun was never in my possession. I talked to another owner of a pawnshop who looked up my name and he could not find my name anywhere on the database. The deputy in charge told me he knew I had done nothing wrong but if I dont tell him what he wants me to say then he has the power and authority to take away my freedom. on the way to the jail the officer slammed his brakes and I lost my front tooth on impact.

It depends which country you live in. In truly democratic countries it is totally illegal but in some suppressive countries the police can do anything they want.

GET A LAWYER!! Don't say anything or admit anything to the cops or else you'll get up worse off. I'm not exactly sure about your specific situation, but i don't see how the officer could say he knows you did nothing wrong and then threaten you with loss of freedoms. This is probably a scare-tactic to try to make you nervous. I'd get a lawyer immediately, because you might be able to file a police misconduct report. Of course, this is all assuming that they had no right to barge into your house and such. I wish you the best of luck my friend, and i hope this was of some help.

No its not legal. In order to search someone's home, you must have consent, a search warrant, or it can be search immediately without a warrant if there are extinuating circumstances such as if their is not time to obtain a search warrant because evidence of the crime can be destroyed immediately within the home.
Someone mentioned that yes its legal because of probable cause, but that is not correct. When searching a home, you have to have probable cause to obtain the search warrant. You can't search a home just because you have probable cause. It doesn't work like that. Read the 4th amendment and search and seizure cases and you will see.
If what you are saying is true, then they violated your 4th amendment right to be free from unlawful search and seizure. Any half way decent attorney could beat that easily!!!

I'm doubting your story. Why would the Officers shine red lights on your ceilings and walls inside and outside with only a pawn slip as evidence? What are you saying here? That you purchased a firearm illegally for a friend with no ID??? What did you do to cause the Officer to slam on his brakes? Spit at him? The only brake I see, is the Break you should give us asking this question.

Yo man, If you are a felon, then you can't own a firearm. You bought a firearm.
IDK if you been under a rock your whole life man, but thats how it is.
To the "lawyer" down there. The police were serving an ARREST WARRANT. If you are arrested, the police can search the immediate area. Not only that, I don't see it anywhere in the paragraph that his home was searched, just that he was aprehended.

I would get legal representation. You do have a police record. Ignorance of the law is not a defence. Can't fault the police on this one.

If what you say is true, this is a case of gross police misconduct, which should be reported to internal affairs, and higher up if necessary. I'd get a lawyer and sue those involved in this egregious piece of police work.

If anything you said was even vaguely true -and even if its not- then I'd suggest getting a lawyer fast. Sounds like you're up **** creek without a paddle.
