Mediterranean diet is considered as the healthiest diet in the world.
This consists of high consumption of fruit and vegetables, bread, wheat and other cereals, olive oil and fish; making it low in saturated fat and high in monounsaturated fat and dietary fiber.
A main factor in the appeal of the Mediterranean Diet is its rich, full flavored foods. Margarine and other unhealthy hydrogenated oils are considered bland and lacking the flavor olive oil can impart to foods. Red wine is also consumed regularly but in moderate quantities.

A diet rich in veggies, fruit, protein as well as vitamins, minerals and healthy fats, olive oil, oil from nuts and maybe flax seed as well as other sources. Then you have to have the portion sizes correct. A cup is a lot of veggies and meat should not be bigger than the palm of your hand per serving. Small healthy meals more often with little sugars and animal fats are best. Lots of water and some pure fruit juices with pulp or home made is best. Milk low or nonfat or soy milk if preferred. I think that covers it. Oh yeah, can't forget whole grain breads and cereals and make sure /doc. checks vit B-12 and iron as you age to keep that from becoming a problem.

A well balanced intake of all the necessary vitamins and minerals that your body needs??? Correct amounts of protein, the right kinds of carbs, plenty of (raw) fresh fruit & veg, lots of water?? Enough fibre and adequate exercise. 6 - 8 hours of sound sleep per night, your body may vary. Check out About.com, that's a great place to find out what you need. I wish you the best!!!

i love sparkling white corn the proper. at the same time as it really is provided in early spring summer time that's the proper vegetable. basically prepare dinner it a touch and butter and eat. Or for something a touch diverse i want to reduce the corn of the cob and saute it with peppers and onions. Thats fantastic to boot. i love carrots yet dont eat them that commonly as they tricky for me to swallow. under no circumstances been a mind-blowing fan of cauliflower.

Besides good fats and all that, SLEEP! You can't be healthy without a good night of it. I'm a little bitter because I'm lacking in it.
