If you cannot get someone out of your head or heart, maybe, just maybe it is because they are meant to be there.

Hang in there. You will notice from time to time what you and your ex were doing during certain parts of the year, at least until you meet someone new. After all, you spent the last 4 yrs. together. I am in the same boat, although I have met someone new, I can't help but think back to the past. Oh well, such is life. Big hugs and have a Merry Christmas.

It doesn't matter whether its because its coming up to Christmas or whether its because she has been around recently, she is a ex for a reason, and thats what you need to tell yourself.
If you think the reason you broke up was lame, and now you truly regret it, then obviously you should try to resolve it, but the fact it is going to be your first Christmas apart, is no reason to get back together with an ex.
The way I look at it, is you should think about why you broke up and whether it was a valid enough reason, then try thinking about the ratio of good times to the bad and if you had more bad times, then do not get back with her - coz its not worth it :)
Have a good christmas either way !!! (And just think of all the mistle toe kisses you can have this year as your single!!)

This is pretty common, like anyone in life you get used to them being there and then when they are gone you will miss them, especially around the holidays like Christmas.
Her being around wouldn't be helping much either, I don't think that you will ever forget someone that you have been with for 4 years there are just too many memories.
Maybe you need to go and visit her while she is here (depending on why you broke up) and get some closure from her, maybe if you go and see her again she might have changed and she wont be what you are remembering and she might just leave your head!

Probably just because she's around, and your mind is linking the relationship you are having with your old one with your ex.
