I'm cooking for four, I always go to Rachael Ray's cook books, there is one that is called "Rachael Ray: 2, 4, 6, 8" It has complete menus for family dinners as well as easy and impressive meals for entertaining. No matter what the occasion, it should have plenty of recipes to cover it!

Try any of Delia Smith's books. Cannot remember the titles but you should find them in a good book store, and, if you cannot afford them go to your library.

If they have not got them, ask them to get it from another library!!

Cooking is fun and rewarding. Hope you will learn and agree!

There are many books out there for the culinary challenged. I would recommend Jessica's Biscuits. They divide their cookbooks into categories so that you can search for cookbooks that specialize in one dish meals, crock pot meals, meals that only require a few ingredients, or even books that emphasize 15 minute or 30 minute meals.
