Even with the TV show "Big Love," people have been giving a young woman who is involved in a polygamous relationship a lot of guff, assuming she is making it all up. Don't you believe anyone really does live polygamously?
It may be that she really is kidding, but other people who read her question may not be. I personally feel it is worthwhile to answer any question as if it were serious. It doesn't hurt anyone, but refusing to believe it is serious can be hurtful to someone in any kind of unusual situation.

No, I'm not in a polygamous relationship, but I've long wanted to be. I am not fertile, and I thought My Steve should be a father. And I don't agree that only the men benefit: the sisterhood felt by the women is important and real. And then too, they may have more than one husband, as well. Why not? In some circles, we call that a coven.
