i think if the metal health problem isnt too severe then sometimes yes, they can know they are having an episode but they are unable to control it, I work with teens that have menatl health issues and have found this is the case a lot of the time. This ofcourse depends greatly on the persons diagnosis and the severe disorders can cause complete loss of awareness.

people that say they are crazy don't scare me, it's the ones that say that they are "Normal" that do. Yes I am "Mental", I do crazy things, like don't let the door close on people, give up my seat to a pregnant mother on the bus, let people out of tight spots in traffic, Give a homeless person something to eat, yes sir, I'm a certified NUT JOB !

Unfortunately, they are constantly called crazy, even if they just suffer from depression. Cruel people make sure of that. By the way, WHAT IS CRAZY???

people who are crazy sometimes don't know it. because of their mental state... things seem totally rational to them and in fact, other people may seem a little crazy to them. but i'm pretty sure the term "crazy" is not politically correct.

I think it's largely true. Lack of self-awareness is a large part of how mental illness persists. When someone starts to become aware of their own craziness, that's when it tends to heal.

According to my doctor,only a sane person thinks there crazy. A insane person thinks there is nothing wrong with them.

For some cases this is true, but there are many people suffering from psychological disorders who are completely aware of their situation.

truly psychotic people cannot distinct reality from "crazy." surely other classes fall into the fringe here as well.

if they knew they were crazy, they would have an accurate perception of reality, and thus not be crazy,,,,
