He probably needs to have his anal sacs emptied, and that is the only way he knows to tell you..You can have this done at a groomers, or your vet techs will do it.. Here it costs $7.

I once had a Basset Hound that ate her own poo in the back yard when I would let her out in the morning (only morning & in winter). My vet told me there wasn't much I could do about it and that some dogs just do that. I fed her more than she needed to be fed, loved her all the time and played with her constantly until she would literally fall asleep at the end of the couch. Amber just loved her poopsickles and I never kissed her on the mouth. It might just be that you will have to accept it from your dog. I know its disgusting but what are you gonna do? Good Luck!

The solution is to have Mandee spayed if the problem occurs when she is in season. That may or may not not fix the problem because once bit*ches fight they will usually keep fighting until one of them is dead. In the meantime you must keep these two dogs totally separated from eachother or the outcome will not be good. Add: I just read your additional information. If you can't afford to have Mandee spayed what on earth will you do when she is seriously injured because she'll need urgent vet attention. Spaying is much cheaper than having to stitch a dog back together after a fight. The only other option is to surrender one of the dogs to a shelter. Unfortunately if you surrender the Pit Bull she will probably be euthanised.

What only sniffing?? Not humping legs or licking himself?? You cant stop them, I have a dog that sniffs my cats butt so hard that my cats back legs come off the ground and it is hard to tell where the dog starts and the cat ends. Get used to it, you cant stop it.

Dogs just like to do that! They even say hello to each other that way. However, if he keeps licking and biting at it take him to the vet because this can an allergic reaction to something.

He is probably passing gas. Many of the cheaper brands of dog food contain a lot of vegetable filler which makes gas.
Either give your dog a better brand of dog food or try giving them Beano.

You won't. It is their nature. They are our best friends but have a few very animallike disturbing habits. And remember, smell is their most powerfull sense. From their point of view odor is not disgustibg, its just information.

Wash his butt and spray 1 or 2 times baby cologne or doggy perfume on the outside of his butt ((NOT INSIDE,, OF COURSE!!)) Like the hair on his behind or around his tail,, try not to get it on his butt skin!!! that will defenetly make him stop!!! dogs hate perfume!!!
