Spirituality to me means something not necessarily of religion itself, but of faith in something. Also, of a need to try to nurture one's own spirit, and the spirit of others somehow. You can find ways to feed your spiritual side by finding a hobby, doing yoga, taking care of animals, giving of yourself to try to help people less fortunate than yourself, basically anything that a person feels will make them a better person is a form of spirituality. And anything that makes the world a better place for every human is a form of spirituality. For myself, I found my spirituality through my religion. For others, they may find theirs through another route. As long as people find things that make the world better, that is spirituality in its truest form.

Spirituality: what it truly means to you!

Spirituality is one word which puts a human being on the highest pedestal of life. It is field of Spirituality traveling which one reaches the last leg of cosmic life nay the form of human being himself!

The goal of Spirituality is attaining salvation moksha in Hinduism! From the beginning of the first manifestation as an amoeba to the last manifestation (the 8.4 millionth manifestation)... the goal of every life remains the same.

The phase of life as a human being announces that the life has come full circle. It is only as a human being that one can get enlightened (reach the stage of Nirvikalpa samadhi) and attain salvation moksha in Hinduism. Reaching the stage of enlightenment is the last step in the field of Spirituality.

Spirituality is living life as it was meant to be... not as we may have desired or wanted living it. Living a life of choice is not the forte of all human beings. Those on the path of pure Spirituality... the true seekers of Spirituality are sometimes able to manifest destiny by establishing absolute control over it.

It is a certain fact that only the true seekers of Spirituality become the masters of their destiny. Knowingly or unknowingly many people who have a materialistic goal in life travel the path of Spirituality and become successful in life. It was not a happening by chance... all was the result of a law which cannot err. These highly acclaimed individuals unknowingly tread the path of pure Spirituality and achieved the goal of their life.

Spirituality in other terms means that before we ask God the Almighty for material riches to be bestowed upon us... we need to compensate by giving something equivalent or more back to the community. This is the path undertaken by most successful entrepreneurs.

In terms of Spirituality we are not supposed to get anything unless we promise to do something in return... in the system of God there is fair play all throughout. As we desire... so shall be the corresponding karma we would be required to perform. Mere false promises bring us nothing.

It was the forte of JRD Tata that he always loved his country and the countryman. The benefit of the society was foremost in his mind all the time. The prime reason why the Tata Empire is known as the foundation builder of India! Tata name itself is representative of building a technological Empire for the benefit of entire nation. This is what Spirituality is all about. More here- http://www.godrealized.org/Spirituality.html

Having a personal relationship with God through His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible says, "Grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ" (2 Peter 3:18). If you have not already done so, I encourage you to organize your day so that you will have a special time to spend alone with God. Be sure that you do not neglect this "quiet time," for this communion with our Lord will give you strength and power to overcome Satan, to live above your circumstances, and to become a victorious Christian.

It is important that you read your Bible and meditate upon it daily. As the good seed of the Word of God is planted in the heart, watered by prayer, and cultivated through obedience, praise, and Christian service, the child of God matures spiritually, as stated by Paul in Colossians 1:10 and Ephesians 3:17-19. Growth in the life of a Christian comes as he yields his heart and life to the Savior. The Holy Spirit is then able to transform his life into the likeness of Jesus Christ. Worship and fellowship in a gospel-preaching church are also a necessary part of spiritual growth.

A book which many have found helpful in learning to walk with God in close daily fellowship is "Experiencing God" by Henry Blackaby and Claude King. Dr. Billy Graham's daily devotional book "Unto the Hills" has also been an inspiration to many. These books are available at a Christian bookstore.

Its such a better word than "religion". It is better because it doesn't confine someones beliefs into the narrow focus of a religion such as Christianity or Buddhism. I feel like i am a little bit spiritual but not at all religious. I guess I believe that good outweighs evil (in people), is that not spiritual?

Reverence for Life.....

One who knows what they are talking about when they say they are spiritualist, is speaking in terms of someone who earnestly and openly looks for a fuller experience of Life/God from within and then sees its perfection in the external world.. They do not follow dogmatic belief systems. In fact it is very like the Gnostic faith.

Alot of people confuse this with spiritism, these people are more focused on mediumship.

And the guy who said it was a psychological thing is psycho disturbed...lol

My spiritual nature is not of god but it is of truth and integrity.the seven deadly sins still are guidelines although i don't have four arms or an elephant face and I revamp them .And the parables make sense although I don't find them godly . the insights of Buddha are helpful but I really don't deitize them. and the main enemy to life is ignorance the soil that grows the seeds of evil .
there is some one who claims that he has isolated spirit or soul as a new kind of energy akin to emotion but I prefer skeptism and the more down to earth approach like meditation rather than prayer. Each to their own.

Thinking and feeling beyond base forms of materialism, attempting to embrace and empathise with all of creation. Sadly, she spirituality becomes darkened by mankind's behaviour. It is often beyond religion.

For me, spirituality is a set of disciplines that leads one away from suffering and towards peace. It does not involve the supernatural, it's purely psychological.
