Every once in a while i'll wake up with a terrible headache, it goes away after 3-5min but then i feel real tired and want to go back to sleep, it almost feels like my brain has been shut off all night.

It may be the way you're laying when you sleep...or the way your head is tilted. Sometimes, from the spine, it can add pressure to your head and cause a headache.

Are you resting your cranium on a pillow ? If so. That's why. Pillows are bad for your neck and spine. Except maybe those curved types. Another problem might be your blood sugar. You might have hypoglycemia. Don't drink any juices or eat any sweet stuff before going to bed. Have some almonds if you're hungry. Somehitng high in healthy fat and filling that digests slowly.

If you eat something before you go to bed and make sure that your neck is properly supported, then you will not have a headache. If you have already done the above in the same night and still have the same problems, I suggest talking to a chiropractor to get professional advice.

maybe the way you sleep isn't giving your body a way to circulate blood well and that cause headaches in some people.
