I've had a corgi and a cat mix work out quite nicely. We did get the kitty after the corgi, so our situations are reversed.

Corgis are usually pretty mellow dogs. Just make sure your cat is ok with dogs, how does she act towards other dogs?

On a personal note; sorry for the loss of your cat. If you do get a corgi I'm sure you'll love it. They are the sweetest dogs and pretty easy to take care of. I absolutley love this breed. Good luck!

Any dog will get on with cats, it is how they are bought up and treated. I have 3 dogs and 3 cats who eat, sleep and play together. The dogs are all different breeds. I have a Jack Russell (female) 7 Years, a Maltese Shi Tzu (Male) 5 Years and a Boxer/Ridgeback cross (Male) 14 Weeks. I have no problems at all. If your dog is with the cat right from the start, they will keep each other company.

Corgies are great dogs but they are from the herding group. They like to chase and herd people and cats. If you get a puppy and teach it not to chase your cat then you should be fine. Give it a job to do like chasing the ball or a frisbee.
