I met someone a couple of months ago and although I like him very much, I am unsure if I will ever be ready to commit to a new relationship. He is going out on a date tomorrow with someone else and I am gutted although I have not told him. I feel like I am losing him just when I was starting to open to him. Feel bit heartbroken too.

Can you not tell him how you feel. Maybe he likes you but thought you didnt like him ?? Explain how you feel and that it'll take a while for you to get into things and he may cancel his date. Go on - give it a go xxxxx

If youre not willing to commit to him, why should he commit to you? I'd hate to sound mean and say that you are sounding selfish, but you are sounding a bit on the egotistical side...he has every right in the world to date someone else if you dont want a serious relationship. Guys arent toys. And if you can be heartbroken over something like this, please get some counceling? You're taking yourself and life too seriously....

Tell him how you feel whilst he has time to change his mind.What have you got to lose? The very worst he actually do can do is still "go on this date". As you've never told him how you feel before he may be waiting just for you to tell himthat you care for him. But be prepared..there is also a possiblity that he may actually not be ready for a comitted relationship too. Either way you need to know. If you wait you will only regret it. Good luck !

Dont' hold it against him, if you weren't ready then it's too bad that you missed your chance. You really need to think hard whether you really do want a relationship with him or whether it's just a bit of jealousy, that now he's with someone else and not you.......
Chin up, tell him how you feel and lay all your cards on the table then leave it up to him. You never know.

People always want something that they cant have....
Why didnt you tell him before how you feel .... rather than waiting until now and just when he is going to go on another date....
You have to decide if you really do want him and it's not the fact that you just cant bare anyone else to go out with him.. Possible you are just being selfish.....

Hmmm, I think you need to ask yourself what you want more, a relationship with him or none at all. If you do want a relationship, it's possible he may not want one with you. In which case, you'll have to tell him how you feel about him.~

Talk to him to find out if the feelings are mutual. Nothing beats wasting your heart on fantasies, heartbreaking. Dialog is what you need. Don't make decisions based on assumptions.

You should tell him how you feel. Be as honest and open as possible. Maybe he likes you but is not quite sure how you feel about him. If you tell him, then he'll be able to choose what he wants to do.
