Non-religous science comes form the Life Sciences and various Chemists like Mendeleyev who wasn't spiritual. Democritus and people like him in ancient Greece also stayed away from superstition and explained the world rationally without the need for spirits, gods, spells or any of that. But, Issac Newton was very religous and he made major contributions to Physics and Astronomy. Charles Darwin contributed to Biology and Medicine and his findings disproved the Bible. Yes,non-religous science has yielded a lot of usefull knowledge for understanding biology and Chemistry but Religous nuts also make equally good contributions. If you were to ask the question; Why sex ? The Bible says; Be fruitfull and multiply. But, asexual organisms like bacteria are fruitfull and multiply without sex and there's no mention of bacterial cultures being stored on Noah's ark. Even though bacteria existed long before someone who can walk and talk and could be named Adam & Eve.

I think that's just about the only type of science there is. If you'll notice throughout history that religion tends to look down on science because it threatens what they believe in at least in terms of creation anyway. I dont know any religious people that believe in the "big bang"
