Just the two, no one else helps? I'd probably bet China, but they won't ever have solid control over the nation. If others stepped in? It'd be a lot of nations v. China and anyone who feels their war is a good thing to fight. So then India would win with backing by other nations (such as the US, UK, and their closest allies) against perhaps, Russia siding with China, as well as perhaps North Korea (assuming they feel like helping out) and maybe some other minor Asian countries. Japan would probably side with India, but it would be best if they didn't actually step in considering the sordid past between the two.
In short, India with aid from other countries, because I don't think China can fight a war against all sort of other nations that are a good deal away.

China will never dare to attack India.
The EU and USA are just waiting for such thing to happen. They would love to impose diplomatic sanctions against China and stop the Chinese Imports.
Even in 1962 when China attacked India... Indian military was totally weak at that point of time, however China had to stop the war and give up all the occupied area for the same reason. And rememeber China has much more at stake now

Neither china nor india has any clear military advantage over the other , so there will be stalemate and war of attrition for a long time before america steps in to screw china and then india will kick chinese a#$ with the weapons supplied by america.

The US workforce. Both of them have enough nukes to flatten each other, so neither would "win" and render that half of the planet radioactive. The US is currently in economic competition with both of them, and if they blast each other all the jobs in manufacturing and technical support would come back to the US. Which is a pretty terrible way to get ahead, but its what would probably happen.
If it was just conventional weapons, my money is on China.

Obviously I want India to win,
but Chinese politicians are more patriotic and professional than th Indian national congress of idiots that we have ruling over us. Moreover, they know how to be more aggressive. I think we will have a chance if the USA helps us, which it probably will.

China by a landslide. China spends 4.3% of a multi-trillion dollar GDP on its military compared to a 2.5% of a multi-billion dollar GDP of India. China also has 45.5 million more male soldiers alone.
