What is the effect of brownouts to laptops?

We have intermittent power outage in our area. I wonder if that would affect my laptop battery. Or is it just like the effect of pulling the laptop charger/plug from the socket? Or will the charger suffer the effect of the power surge/outage?

basically, no effect. if the power goes out its just like yanking the cord, and since a laptop has a built in ups, your set. it will effect your battery in that it will use it, but thats what its made for.
