That varies from person to person. Most would rather be thinner, some would rather it people didn't go out of their way to make it an issue, which is what people do.

It also calls into question as what counts as "fat" to a person.

Although the fact that people feel the need to act as though it's a thing are being a little rude. It'd be like point out someone who's black, or is bald. These people know these things, they don't need it pointed out to them.

You cant do both. The very reason that you are fat makes you look ugly causing wrinkles and having an elderly look once you lose weight will tempt you try and maintain the same physic and secondly you cant force others to pretend not to notice you. You can pretend as if you are not noticing them.

I was fat for a while try losing weight first .It took me three years
with a stupid physician till I got a second opinion. And as miserable as the extra weight was I never thought twice about what anybody else thought . It wasn't their problem !

I don't mind losing some, but it keeps bouncing back, and at the same time, it would be good not to be notice as fat all the time.

It depends,some wud rather put on clothes dat will make them slim just to avoid comments but mostly they prefer working out abd trying to maintain their newly found body.
