Why doesnt he ask me directly?
Its not really bothersome to me, I’m just curious
Why does my best friends older brother (19yrs old) [ note: I am 17, and a senior in HS ] never ask me questions directly?
For example, yesterday, I’m walking downstairs where my best friend and he was sitting. He is turning on his new HDTV DVD of Superman, and I hear him say,
“Wait, Kate has to see what its like before I switch it to High Definition” I get downstairs and sit on the couch and he obviously sees me. (he looks right at me) and he asks his sister “Has Kate ever seen Superman?” and my best friend (his sister) says “I don’t know Casey, why don’t you ask her yourself?” and he says “Kate, have you ever seen Superman?”
Why does he always do this? He never asks me directly, or speaks to me directly. He talks to me like I’m not in the room. Why?

No one can truly answer "Why." Only he knows.
But...
You can try smiling at him and saying "You know" *grin* "I CAN hear you, and No, I've never seen Superman" (or whatever he is talking about.)
OR...
You can turn it into a joke by re-asking the same question to your friend about yourself - "Yeah? Have *I* ever seen Superman? Come on - you KNOW I need you to speak for me here!" *smile*
OR ..
Just be direct. Get him alone and ask "Hey, Casey - why don't you ever speak directly to me? Why do you always ask your sister what I think?" You can turn it into a joke by adding "Wait. She didn't tell you about that time I grew fangs and bit that guy for talking to me did she?" If he laughs..gently remind him of the question again "No seriously, though. Why not?"
Most of the time people are clueless. It just depends. I'm not sure what is up with big brother there..but I'm sure he doesn't mean it to be offensive. Just ask him :)

there's a theological answer to that. quite 2. the 1st is they did no longer have the Bible, and we do. we don't choose a voice from on severe telling us to no longer lie, thieve, or sleep with our neighbor's spouse, it incredibly is all there interior the e book if we care to take heed to it. the 2nd answer pertains to what replaced whilst Christ got here. maximum Christians settle for that interior the era after the arriving of Christ, the Holy Spirit quite lives interior of God's people, which He did no longer in the past Christ got here. lower back then, considering God became no longer interior the guy, He had to communicate aloud to verify that them to get the message. Now, it quite is thru an inner prompting, each and every each and every now and then purely a understanding which you should or shouldn't do something, each and every each and every now and then easily words you experience (i'm getting "i such as you" plenty), each and every each and every now and then you definately basically think of of something that incredibly is clever. yet as somebody else suggested, you should learn how to pay attention, or perhaps harder, you should be keen to be taken places you'll be able to desire to no longer choose to flow, inclusive of to a action picture you do no longer choose to work out, or perhaps to the different area of the international to feed the hungry. and you're no longer delusional considering you think God speaks to you. it incredibly is what He tells you to do. If it incredibly is forgive somebody, donate money to a honest charity, convenience the lonely, or basically be advantageous, i does not be too aggravating approximately delusions (we ought to consistently all such delusions). If it incredibly is run around bare, gamble all your money away, decrease off courting along with your loved ones, kill somebody, or dedicate suicide, you should to seek for help.

He sounds like he has a crush on you and is afraid that you might want to avoid him if you don't like him, too. He's afraid of losing you altogether I think and wants to play it safe. He sounds shy and insecure but definitely is attracted to you. Also, he might be afraid of the whole legal thing of you being a minor and him being an adult. He might also be afraid of letting your best friend know that he likes you (maybe he thinks she would be mad at him)

Who knows? Perhaps he feels that he only knows you through his sister, and doesn't have enough of a relationship with you to ask directly.

Either because he likes you or because he's shy.Or he could think you have a crush on him and he doesn't want to send you the wrong message.

He probably likes you. Guys do weird things when they are interested in somebody. That's probably his way of being nervous.
