Organized Crime has existed in Russia (former Soviet Union) for centuries. Under the communist regime corruption was as normal in Russia as snow falling during the winter. One of the big money makers for the Russian criminals was selling Western products on the black market, a market they controlled in the 1970s and 80s. It was also during this time that there was a wave of Russian émigrés who fled to North America. Most of these émigrés were Jewish, however a lot of Russians faked a Jewish passport, among them Russian criminals. Most of the Russians settled in Brighton Beach in New York, which has got the largest Russian population outside of Russia.
Russian criminals are active in: Fraud, transnational money laundering, extortion, drug trafficking, weapon smuggling, auto theft, white slave trafficking/prostitution, hostage taking, extortion of immigrant celebrities and sport figures, transportation of stolen property for export, insurance (staged auto accidents) and MURDER

Actually, my understanding is, that, at least until recently, the great majority of illegal immigrants were people of all backgrounds who came on legal visas, but whose visas expired while they were in the States. I personally think that the focus on Mexicans is at least partially fueled by discrimination/racism against Mexicans.

Because Mexico is right next to the USA, and, if I'm not mistaken, statistically is the largest growing minority in the US.
So, to some Americans this represents a threat.
And even with this growth, the Mexican community in the US is not a tight community, there are a lot of issues among, Mexican Americans, Chicanos and Mexicans, there's a tendency towards segregation among this group. Even if statistically it is classified as a whole in reality there are branches and discrimination inside it. Other communities that succeed as a whole, for example Jews are closed and support each other as a community, and that gives them strength.
There is also the fact that the Mexican Government does not protect its citizens outside its territory so if illegal Mexicans are taken as scapegoats (remember proposition 187) the Mexican government will not lift a finger to support them. The level of education plays another part. Most Mexicans that cross the border illegally have a low education level, compared to other immigrants.
Also, let's face it, skin color is still an issue all over the world, it is easier to criticize or be afraid of someone who doesn't resemble you. Russians are mostly white, so they blend in with the majority and have a higher probability to succeed.

I agree with you except on one issue , the Jew's were in control of Russia since the inception of the Communist part in 1919, they numbered app 6%of Russia's population yet they controlled the other 94% and when the Iron curtain fell they were the only ones who could leave Russia because they were the only ones who had the money for the fare, and they sure wanted out they were afraid the people would string them up once they were free,it is fairly easy to find out who was who in Russia even American history shows the Jew's are the ones who hired mercenaries from America England Germany and any other place they could get them to over throw the czars in Russia and install the communist party and a Jew has always been the premier of Russia since its inception, but our Jewish owned news's media always wanted Americans to believe Jew's were being discriminated against in Russia, Propaganda is one hell of a tool

Anyone here illegally should be deported. As for why Mexicans that's painfully easy. There are an estimated 12 million here illegally and thousands more coming every day. No other nationality coming over illegally comes over in any where CLOSE to those numbers. A foolish question.

Its so great you have a conscience to tell you right and wrong. The truth is, the best way tonstop feeling guilty is justnto come right out and tell your dad what you did. You sid you were thinking about making it up. If youre going to do this anyway, why not just get it out in the open and over with? Accept any punishment given and trust me, then you will feel much better and maybe your parents will even trust you more in the future for confessing. We all make mistakes. We are all imperfect. We all sin every day. So we should also ask for forgiveness of our sins every day through prayer to God. God provided the ransom of His Son Jesus so we could have our sins forgiven. How loving! The Bible tells us "God is love" at 1 John 4:8. Rest assured that He will forgive you, and He wants us to have clean consciences. So do what it takes to get a clean conscience. Relief is near! :)

Illegals are illegals, all should be deported no exceptions. Mexicans are the worse target cause the are coming in by the thousands on a daily basis and doing it rather loudly. I don't see an other illegal saying I want amensty? Protesting in the streets of America Hey I broke your laws now change them for me.

There are illegals of all persuasions lurking around.
The Mexican's are at the forefront because they are the most visible.
Those "in your face" demonstrations did it.
The Russians are smarter than that.
