Waiting lists to get in to see psychiatrists can vary widely. It could be anything from tomorrow to two months. If you do have to wait a long time, however, and you don't think you can manage, your regular doctor or a doctor at the medical clinic would be happy to have you come in once a week or so to check how you're going and get you through.
When you do get in to see the psychiatrist you'll probably find that the consultation goes for about 45 minutes to an hour, although sometimes an initial consultation can be a little longer.
If you find at any time you are feeling suicidal make sure you get yourself along to the emergency room. Best of luck.

If your problem is serious the Dr. will probably fit you in right away. The clinic may want the Dr. to determine if you should be admitted to the hospital. If for some reason the call seems to be taking to long for you, and you feel you need medical help, call them back. Good luck!

You are asking how long it takes to get an appointment, right? It depends on your insurance, how busy the psychiatrist is, and so forth. You can call the psychiatrist's office again and ask them this question.

Don't go see a psychiatrist. Don't take the medications they tell you to.
Get this documentary and find out why:

Psychiatry Kills! How much money do you have? They'll take that too. Insurance? They love it, up until you run out of it.
Serious though, life isn't worth dealing with them.

You better call up to clinic's customer care or any responsible officials. Just sitting and waiting for their phone might increase the psychiatric problem.

These doctors rely on your yielding to their decisions. You will be exhausted by the time you can get one or pay a very large bill.
