i think the guy whom i am seeing is a player. sometimes, he will not call until i start texting him. i feel insecure if we don't chat for even a day. at the same time, i also understand that guys need their space. when we are together, he treats me like a lady and i could tell that he's genuine in his actions most of the time (if not all the time). he's promised to cook for me and i heard, he's actually only started to learn how to cook. i like him a lot, but wonder how do i keep him for good?

listen to your gut. if it's telling you that things are "shady"-- then it probably is. a guy, should always make you feel special and that you matter. if you feel as though this guy is playing games, then he is. i'm sure he's a nice guy, and i'm sure you really like him, but at the end of the day, it's your heart that counts.
however, if you want to keep him, then you need to replay the playa. basically, you need to come off like you're not interested...that's the only way to keep him on lock down. you have to regain the power in the relationship, that means, not texting him, not calling him, not doing anything. once, he realizes that you're not trying, he'll try. that's the true test.

Let me give it to you honest hon. There is NO surefire way to keep a guy. There are surefire ways to get rid of one though.
If a man wants to go, he will go, no matter what you do. You can sex him all day, cook for him, give him the world. None of that will matter if he doesn't want to be there.
So don't change you...keep being yourself. Let him love who you truly are and you give him your best, if you want him. I understand the rejection might hurt, but you have to understand that if he leaves, it's not you...it's him. No doubt.
For now, let nature take it's course and see how things go. Insecurity usually comes because there's a lack of trust. If you have questions, ask them. A true relationship can't get a strong foundation when it's rooted in doubt.

I think you need to ask yourself do want to be with someone that is like this...I think he will end up hurting you in the long run. You should attempt to date other guys, The word player says it all.. good luck
