most of the heat that radiates from the sun bounces off the earth's surface and back out into space, but CO2, and other pollutants act like an insulator keeping the heat in. Small amounts of it is insignificant, but over the years, since the industrial revolution, the amounts of pollutants going into the atmosphere is increasing and accumulating. The earth is replenishing itself but is at a far slower rate than emissions of pollutants.

It works like a greenhouse: light/heat at short wavelengths can come in because glass is transparent at those wavelengths. However. objects heated inside radiate at much longer wavelengths which cannot pass through the glass so the heat is trapped inside. CO2 (as well as other gases) have the same property.

CO2 traps sun's radiated heat in the earth's atmosphere. This increases the average temp. on earth. That's what is called the green house effect as in green houses same principle's used. The CO2 given out during plant respiration is used to maintain optimum temp.

We burn oil and coal for gas and we burn allot of it! the numerous bi-fabricated from burning carbon dioxide (CO2). This CO2 purely is going decrease back out into the air round us. we've performed this a lot contained in the terrific 2 hundred years, that we've altered the composition of the ambience itself. without gioing into the technological information in contact, (that is freely accessible on the internet - Google 'international Warming'), understand that this motives the ambience to warmth up. those statements are all information, no longer beliefs or theories. maximum scientist, that is, those no longer contained in the pay of huge biz or stupid gov, believe this.
