What I usually do when I have to study is to highlight everything in the textbook that is essential. The second time I read the same text book, I'll just read the highlighted sentences and finally, I'll read once again if I have to and then I'll repeat aloud everything I read. This works for me fine. Psychologists say that you should usually study by night before sleeping, because sleeping makes you well remember what you learned. It is probably the best thing to start studying and when you see it's going harder and harder, you just have to stop and take a little break (not too long, about 15 minutes should be enough). If you really see that you're very tired of studying, stop it for that day and go take a nap. The best brain food is a tsp of honey mixed with half a cup of warm (not hot) water. It digests really fast and goes into your brain. The really good supplement to be taken in order to learn effectively is phosphorus. Hope this all helps.
