There are a few ways. Most counties will allow you to reset the case for a new date. The easiest and cheapest way is to go to the court clerks office and file a request to re-set the case for calendar and pay the re-set fee.

Another way is pay the bond amount. This will automatically set aside the warrant and trigger a new court date, as in the reset step above. You can pay cash directly at the court or contact a bail bondsman and have them pay your bond for a fee. The court clerk will be able to tell you how much bond is required.

Another alternative is the hire an attorney and have him do step one for you.

Hope this helps,
Joe

A couple of general options:

-Leave the state and don't come back until after the statute of limitations has passed (generally 7 years).

-Hire a lawyer and show up at the station with bail money ready. With a lawyer there, he or she will ensure you walk in and out immedately. If you can't afford a lawyer but can afford the bail, bring a friend or family member. In that case, you'll probably spend a few hours locked up while the paperwork goes through, but that's it. Either way, they will simply set up a court date to continue the legal process.

Put it to you this way..Nothing'll happen-if you go and take care of that. But if you don't,then yea,the judge will issue a warrant for your arrest. And I can tell you from my own experiences with the warrant squad here in NYC...they'll show up at your house as soon as the sun starts coming up,like around 6 or 7 am.,and pounding on your door 'til they get an answer or they gain entry. But I'll tell ya something, your best bet is to simply get the matter squared away, before it's too late.Cuz always remember...they are the law,and they can make yur life very difficult.

well iam not from montgomery pa but i belive all you have to do is go to your local police station and ask for the warrant department and let them know why you have a bench warrant and you would like to take care of it and they will set you another court date to go to and all you do is show up at court and your bench warrant is gone but if for any reason you do not show for court yowill have another warrant and the only way you will be able to clear that warrant is to go to jail.
