In large measure it depends on how YOU define entertain, and the audience involved.

Certainly even an infant can "entertain" an audience made up of family members, and HOLDING attention depends on the interest of any audience involved in whatever the "performance" happens to be.

Yes. Anyone can do it. I have been in bands for years. I used to have very little talent so I used to do things like take of my clothes and jump off speaker towers into the drum kit to keep the audience interested. Now I actually learned how to sing and play instruments so the show is twice as entertaining because now not only do I take off my clothes and jump off things, the music is also good. Its okay to be bad at the beginning. Try going to open mics if you want to learn how to be a performer/entertainer. You just have to have confidence and convince the audience that you mean it.

Can anyone be an entertainer? Yes.
May be good, may be bad, but anyone can be one.

What does it take to hold an audiences attention?
A good show, team work, talent, hard work, and charisma.

Does everyone have what "it" takes? No.
But most who don't have "it" can learn "it".
Some are just not cut out for showbiz.

No, just the ones who have the guts to come out of the bathroom and showcase their talent and abilities to the rest of the world, and are not afraid to make an *** of themselves while doing so.
