Finish college, get a job, pay off your student loan. Get a better job.
Then you will have CASH and you wont need a credit card.
If you get a card now you will be in debt for the rest of your life!!!!
Besides you dont need a credit card, you have who ever is supporting you to buy you what you 'need' while your in school.
And who ever is supporting you will forgive your debts more than any ' finance company' that wants to profit on your debt.

The new regulations should have pretented you from getting this card. Are you sure you didn't have previous credit? Did your parents ever make you an authorized user on a card when you were young? Honestly, this sounds like what could have happened. Did they ever get a car loan and co-signed on it with you?

There has to be some kind of proof of how you will be able to pay the balance. You will probably need someone to co-sign for you without a job. Try for one of those student credit cards, but, I think that you still will need some kind of proof of employment.

Don't - you DO have to pay the money back, you know, and that's very difficult to do if you're not employed. It may seem like a great idea right now, but ruining your credit can cause you a lot of misery for years down the road.

try going to your bank and applying for a student credit card my hubby got one when he was young. they are usually easier to get than a normal card. its a start.
