As long as the " right " size of women to society is stick-thin, there will be people striving to be the ideal....
Although recently there's a move towards promoting a healthier body image, the idea of beauty is still " thin "
So, when everyone accepts each other for who they are, then people will stop obsessing over weight. Until then, you're asking a bit much.

Obesity is actually a very serious issue in the US right now. There are many serious diseases that are linked with obesity, such as diabetes, heart diseases, and strokes etc. I say lose weight people, but only with the right amount of exercise. I am definately not promoting anorexia, because that is a disease in itself. However, I dont' see anything wrong with someone wanting to lose weight.

I've had my share of eating disorders, and even though it's not something people would ever want to go through, it is neccessary for some people to lose weight for health reasons. Exercising and a healthy diet helps prevent all kinds of diseases, disorders, and conditions... including eating disorders.
