When I drink coffee I literally get sick. It can take minutes or a few hours before I feel it. I enjoy drinking lattes and heard that there is a brand of coffee that is catered to people who are sensitive to coffee. Does anyone know what the name of this coffee bean or brand is? Your help is apreciated, thanks. For those of you who say quit drinking it, I know thats on option, but I need my lattes to keep me awake in my classes.

No, I'm not lactose intolarant. I can drink milk. I do understand where your coming from though.
But maybe you guys are right about not eating a lot before I buy my latte.
I usually order my lattes, from Second Cup or Starbuck, any suggestions on what to ask for when I order my drink?

try inexpensive latin roasts like bustelo and pilon if you are making your lattes at home. they are roasted longer and darker so they aren't greasy and bitter. also eat something with your latte and see if that helps. caffiene has a tendency to eat away at your stomach if you don't have any food in it.

I've drank coffee 3 times in my life and found myself in hospitals and clinics each time. SEVERE stomach pain.... doubling me over. It was horrible! So I realized that I can live without coffee.

I do not have a problem with caffeine, since I drink tea, Cokes, etc. If you want a hot drink.... try Chai Tea, which has sweet spices like ginger in it.... any hot tea type, etc. There are many flavors. Chai Tea latte mixes are now available at Walmart and other places. Caffeine to keep you awake is available in tea, sodas, and pills such as No-Doze.

What I am suggesting is that to have caffeine to stay awake, you don't need coffee. :o)

Best Wishes,

Sue

I believe Folgers is the brand that has a coffee for sensitive stomachs.

I've never quite heard of an allergy to coffee, but you mentioned how you love lattes. Could it be that perhaps you are reacting to the milk and not the coffee? You may be lactose intolerant. Try switching to soy milk or perhaps try lactaid to see if you still feel the same way.
