Yes maybe, because you get infected easily. On the other hand maybe your ears weren't pierced right. I had that problem with a pierce in the ear cartilage that was badly done, but my other ear pierces are fine. I think you should talk to the tattoo artist about it. Maybe there is such a thing as a test tattoo, or you could try a really small one to start with.

The problem you are having with the piercing is that you are allergic to metals. Tattoo ink is not metallic. However you may have sensitive skin and develop a reaction to the tattoo.
I always advise people to start out with a smaller tattoo for their first. You may not be able to handle the pain or you may have a skin reaction to it.

I think you will be fine. With Piercing you are sticking a piece of metal into your body...chances are you had a reaction to the metal. Do you have problems just wearing reg earrings? I have friends that have to have nickel free jewlery just for their ears SO it may be something in the piercing jewlery your body rejected.
I think you will be fine for the tat....it's totally diff granted you have a needled dragging across your skin BUT it's not in their for good. Just tell your tat artist and to watch for excessive bleeding, make sure you follow the after care directions to a T and you will be fine.
Congrads on your first tat!!

i have that same problem with the piercings. i do have a tattoo, though, and it is fine, no infections or anything. i wouldn't worry about rejection of the tattoo. your body is probably allergic to the metal, yes, even pure gold, that the piercings were done with. i worried too, but the tatto is perfect, no scars, etc. since they don't leave any metal in your skin, you'll be fine. my brother is the same, too, and he has 3 tattoos, good luck, and hopefully you thought about your decision long and hard.

I've had a couple piercings that my body apparently just didn't like, and for sanity's sake, I just retired the piercings rather than dealing with all of the needed care...
However, I have 15 tattoos, and I have not had a single problem with any of them. :)

Tattoos are way easier to take care of and heal than peircings. I have trouble with peircings healing but my tat's healed well and fast. My body didn't really care for my belly ring. It's always so much harder to heal a part of your body that has a foreign object stuck in it. With a tattoo you just need to make sure you clean it and keep putting unscented lotion on it. Some tat shops suggest you put A&D ointment on it.

If you have sensitive skin, then maybe. Hives could be a problem in the moment. Curious, have you had keliod scars? Raised scars on your skin? from what I've heard, thats the only way an artist won't tattoo you. Best check with the artist first. set up a consult appointment if you want. that's what I did for my first one.

You might not have a problem! I had issues wit peircings myself but my tattoos are great! they healed very well! if anything ask your doctor! You might have a very low immune system or very low white blood cells! Check with your doctor before getting a tattoo!
