I'm totally against prejudice and I now know that it doesn't just come from white people. I have no idea why your mother has problems with your kids but if she hopefully she will learn to love and respect your kids and their mother. If you haven't already maybe try and talk it out with your mother and see why she has these feelings. If she can't accept them then thats her loss because she won't be able to feel the love of a grandchild to their grand parent. And bye the way congratz on having those kids!

man read what you wrote there your kids and they come fist than your mother and if she denies your kids she is deaning you your kids are part of you and if your mother is that way i think you should get rid of her. Don't let your kids be around a person like her. Your kids deserve better than that. You can't have your kids and your mother you have to chose and for anyone that have kids know the answer "MY KIDS" that has to be your answer

I wish you had told us how old you are. And how many kids you have and how old they are. Your question would be more real if there were details. I know the family issue is real. I am sorry for your pain. My granddad was prejudice for 81 years...until two weeks before he died. He was finally able to accept Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He told every black person who walked into his hospital room how sorry he was for all the times he didn't have Christian love for non-whites. I hope your mama will recieve a spiritual awakening and the joy she misses now will engulf her.

That kind of thinking your mother has is no different than rejecting your kids because they have certain color hair, eyes, length or shape of their face head limbs. Think about it , race is just a social concept, an ideal conjured up to label another HUMAN being .

By Natural and Free Selection it is up to the children to choose their own mates and produce children with them. If this is unacceptable to the original parents who have no say upon the matter, it is merely their loss and it will sour relatios. It is paternal abuse if they denied you the right to choose your own wife and mate.Soon enough she will have to accept the fact or feel miserable for allowing freedom of choice.

the only one who can fix this is your mother. she is the one loosing out on being apart of her grandchildren's lives. about the best you can do is explain that the kids are here, they are staying here and that she needs to see them and not the color of their skin.. cause no matter how hard she wants to deny them they are apart of her. and always will be. good luck and bless all of you

Hard to change older peoples minds, she's going on how she was raised, but I've never heard of a Mother taking it out on the innocent little children, the Father, now that's a different story. Does she go to church? Maybe you could talk to her priest or pastor and they can help.

Find them a new grandmother. The nice old lady down the street or something. That is just wrong.

you can't fix it because you can't change how people feel! your mother shouldn't be this way but yet so many people are. they just have not accepted it yet give her time they are her randkids-she has to come around sooner or later!

I guess you have nothing to lose by letting her know how you feel.
If that doesnt change her mind, then perhaps you can deny her for a while, and see how that affects her.
