I'd suggest that unless your friend is Catholic, (which would be even distasteful then) it would make no sense for her to get a symbol that has deep and significant religious meaning as the rosary does.
Nicole's tatoo is a rosary, which is prayer beads strung on a thread, used by Roman Catholics to count off the prayers .
