there's been reports that he tried to run over the cops but on hannity and colmes geraldo asked hannity what would u do if some1 jumped on the hood of ur car,which seggested that 1 of the undercover cops jumped on his car causing him to hit the gas .1 cop even fired his 9mm 31 times,that means he had to reload.if this isn't exccesive force what is?why was the other guy shot 41 times a couple of years ago for pulling out his wallet and nobody doesn't get a slap on the wrist.even if it look like a gun i pretty sure they should have stop when theey noticed he wasn't firing back.even u racist confederate loving pricks can't deny that was excessive force

Wait for all the facts. Everything else at this time is pure speculation and conjecture.
So I guess the moron who gave me a thumbs down is more interested with starting a riot than waiting for facts. Go ahead...call it a Racial Incident, when 4 oft of the 6 officers who are in question, are minorities. Close minded people would rather call it something it wasn't so they can burn down the neighborhood, and rip off all the local stores. How is any of that justice??? It's not. Just wait for the facts for Christs sake.
And to the guy who answered below this.... A vehicle IS a weapon. That's why when you run somebody over, it's called "assault with a deadly weapon". What? You can't hurt someone with a car? And you don't have to have a gun drawn on you to defend yourself. If I were dropping bricks off a building and hitting people, the police would be justified to shoot. In FACT, any criminal act that poses an immediate threat to the life of another person, can be stopped with deadly force. You can also stop a rape, arson, kidnapping, and other crimes with deadly force. These are FACTS! Learn the law and stop being so frigging ignorant.

Everyone can sit here and say "cops are racist" and the "brutality doesn't need a reason" and so on. But how many of you people have ever been put into a situation to have to act (possibly having to shoot someone)?? Probably not many. I have twice, once here and once in Iraq. So, until the investigation is over, let's still presume the officers innocent until proven guilty.

No one really knows the whole story about cops killing black men, they call cops being racist. I am not a racist person, but, if it was a cop that killed a white man they wouldn't call him racist even if it was a black cop that did it. I don't condone killing anyone and I feel for the families that lose loved ones, but, I am tired of it that if a black man that gets killed or beat up people jump to conclusion that its a racial thing, especially before they know the whole story.

dude was drunk after celebrating getting married. TRIED TO RUN OVER POLICE AND HIT POLICE VEHICLES A FEW TIMES. WAS SHOT 50 OR 51 times.... THE POLICE INVOLVED WERE BLACK AND HISPANIC SO NOT A RACIAL THING. ThE POLICE'S LIFE WERE ENDANGER...
as for some of the dumb answer I have just read haha man do some of you need to learn the facts. He wasn't walking and was not shot because of being black or for pulling out a cellphone.... lordy lordy...

Because he ran his car into an officer and his vehicle, backed up and then rammed a SWAT vehicle, almost hitting two other officers..
The moral of the story is: Don't take a car to a gun fight.

Because he was jaywalking. And he pulled out a cell phone, which of course looked like a gun. That's why they shot him 72 times after he was laying on the ground.

he was trying to run them over with his vehicle -
in our state we call it aggravated assault with a deadly weapon on a law enforcement officer
he knew better - use of deadly force authorized!
end of story (and yes - I hurt for his family)
