MPlayer is your answer. I've linked to a SUSE site, because you didn't mention the distro you are using. It should get you pointed the right direction.

Question what system are you using linux or windows?
if your using Linux which one?
if your on windoz then use IE6 and downlodad Media player 9 from msn which is an internet install
if your working with Linux there are several media players that will do the same job.

Do a search for media players for linux on the web

Never having run Linux, I can't give you a quick fix.

But, what I would do first, is ASK LINUX.

There is most likely a patch and the site most likely to give you this info is LINUX.

Failing this, try Windows Knowledge Base, use their search engine and type in Windows Media Player Linux compatable, click search or send.

You need to install mplayer and the mplayer plugin for Mozilla.

http://mplayerplug-in.sourceforge.net

Both are also available in most package repositories. I would reccomend installing using this way. Installing the mplayer plugin will install mplayer by default.
