I always let mine set out for a while just so it does not sweat so much when you put it in the fridge

Let the food cool down before putting into the refrigerator. I don't think it will hurt the food to put it in the refrigerator warm but I am told that warm food makes the refrigerator work harder to keep its inside cool. So if you put hot food in the refrigerator then the temperature will warm up and the refrigerator will work harder to cool it back down. All your food in the refrigerator will go through a temperature change.

Definately not & the reason is because food poisoning can very easily occur.
HACCP - Hazzard Analysis Critical Control Point (avoid food
contamination)

Food poisoning :When a food product becomes infected with
harmful bacteria it makes the consumer very
ill (vomiting, diarrhoea) & in some severe cases
the outcome may be fatal.

There are millions & millions of different types of bacteria everywhere around us. Some dont harm us, some do harm us & some become harmful because of us.
This may occur in the food preparation & food handling industry sometimes due to poor hygiene conditions & cross contamination caused by incorrect storage of food.

Some types of bad bacteria can only survive in warm temps other types need cool temps & then some really stubborn types dont care as long as its between 3degrees & 63degrees which is known as - HACCP(see above)

SO FINALLY AFTER ALL THAT.......my point is that hot food should be left to cool down to room temp without a cover (allow the heat/steam to evaporate) before refrigerating or freezing to avoid the growth of harmful bacteria.
Its the poor handling and storage that allows for perfect conditions for the rapid growth of bad bacteria.
We can actually supply the perfect conditions for the incubation and growth of bad bacteria without even knowing it.
Always be sure to store cooked food above raw food(avoiding any drops of blood etc.) if separate fridges are unavailable.
Always wrap everything tightly keeping different types of products separate especially raw & cooked meat, fish & vegies

So please be careful when handling and storing food.

or i could give u the short answer which is
NOPE!! lol

Hope this helps

No, it is not. Harmful bacteria grows in a temperature range between 40 and 140 degrees Farenheit, also known as the temperature danger zone. Before hot food can be refrigerated, it should be cooled down to 70 degrees.

Should you not what to get so technical and invest in thermometers and the lot, let the food cool down to warm/room temperature before you refrigerate it.

It depends. You're shouldn't cool hot food in a container where the food is more than 2 inches deep. This keeps the food from staying in the "danger zone" (of temperature) for very long. The danger zone is where a lot of bacteria can and will grow and can possibly make you sick when you eat that food later.

You really don't want to cover it while hot, because it traps the moisture AND heat in while it's in the fridge. This keeps the temperature of the food in the "danger" zone longer, which give more time for bacteria to grow.

However, if you reheat it really hot later on.. you'll be fine, because you'll kill any germs in it.

It is safe but its not good for the refrigerator because it causes condensation that results in water at the bottom of the refrigerator (can rot your veggies). Plus its not enviromently friendly because it increases the amount of electricity the refrigerator uses.

because of the fact large portions of warm food might take a protracted time to relax and freeze, it quite is not wholesome to place it right this moment in the refrigerator. It additionally makes your refrigerator artwork complicated and could ruin different food already in the refrigerator. permit it cool fairly first.
