My mother's knees and legs bother her because they hurt almost every single day, so it's hard for her to get out of bed, and do daily routines. What can she take to help her besides pain medicine?

Go to the doctor... in the meantime rub her knees with castor oil and try taking some vitamin E. :o)

Hello there how are you? Has she seen her doctor? If they have only recommended pain relief, it maybe an option to consult a Naturopathic Doctor or Herbalist that will look at her Holistically. There must be a reason for the pain,, and Naturopaths usually get down to the cause and not recommend pain relief as a bandaid effect. Although, it sounds like futher medical tests may need to be undertaken ?

Hi Hott, It's really nice thank you care about your mom's health, and the pain she is having. But the best thing to do, to help your mom is get her to a doctor A.S.A.P. No one should have to suffer in pain like your mom is.Let the doctor find out what is causing the pain to your mom's knees' and leggs'. It really sounds like your mom has rheumatoid arthritis, specially the way you describe her pain. If it is that, there's all sort's of medication for this problem that can help you mom,and to relief alot of her pain.

It sure sounds like arthritis. However, only a doctor can help you with a more accurate diagnosis. You should get her to see one. Early detection can help alleviate the painful symptoms. There are exercises and massage that she can do to stop the pain. Here is a site that I found on arthritis that may provide some answers http://www.rheumatoid-arthritis-relief.com
All the best!

Sounds like arthritis but she could also have blod clots in her legs and if they become dislodged they can travel to her heart and she could die. Make her a doctor's appointment right away!
