unhealty way sit on the couch and eat foods high in saturated fat or do it the healthy way eat high protien food or a whey protein shake once a day as a snack and go to the gym and do leg lifts for thigh and hip flexers and do squats for all leg and glutes. can also do some pilaties. On all fours thrust leg back for about a 20 four count (total of 40 times) then switch legs. and you can lift your leg out (like a dog at a fire hidrent) same amount of reps. Do that every other day. should see results in a month or so.

You have to eat small meals frequently and exercise to gain muscles. Strength training can give your body more definition and thus make you feel your body thicker.
