I was wondering if a lot of guys prefer not to date single moms?

I prefer to date any girl who is good @ heart, is helpful and sincere and generally has a good aura about her. I doesn’t matter to me if she’s a single mom or a single girl. Character is not defined by having kids. I however do think that single moms are more caring and compassionate as they have gone through tough times (possibly) and have kids to take care of as well. I’ve never dated one though, not that I won’t if I’m presented with the chance. The chance never came for me to do so.

no I wouldn't date a single mother and I disagree with scailizithaproblem that only a real man would. What exactly does he man by this? That if you decide a single mother isn't for you that somehow you're not a real man? Anyway, I wouldn't date a single mother for these reasons: 1) most attention in the relationship would be given (quite rightly) to the child. I would rather a situation where attention could be placed on each other, especially at the beginning of the relation ship. 2) dealing with the ex. and personally not feeling comfortable taking part of his role. 3) building a relationship with the child and if things don't work out or end badly having that relationship taken from you. 4) flexibility - being able to do what and when you want at the spur of the moment.

Yes, I will never date a single mum
BUT
I will not have a problem dating a single dad.

Some do some don't, however there are so many issues involved in dating a single parent.....right? Very good topic and great question.....for a change.

I think they are cool with it, seeing as how most single guys have kids from a previous relationship nowdays, but it isn't cool when the gal wants this "new" guy to automatically take over the new role as dad. You know, the pushy ones.

i use the whole 3 stirkes ur out
a kid would be 1 strike but if i was falling in love with her
if when i saw her i melted ya know the time freezes (thats actually happened to me its the most incredible thing)
if she was sweet ya know seemed like a great girl/lady/woman/whatever then one strike wont stop me
in other words i dont exactly hunt for single moms but i wouldnt run i would atleast give her a chance

My ex was a single mom when I married her! Now she's a woman! Because I have her child and both of ours!!!!!!

i would say yes a few years ago, but considering the shift in pop culture. Nowadays some guys find mothers quite sexually attractive .
