I believe this to be flirting and yes Iwould be bothered by it because my ex was this way and I think it showed a lack of respect 4 me.I didn't hug other guys or call them by affectionate names and I wanted to be treated with the same respect. If the situation were reversed he probably would'nt approve of her behaving this way with other guys.

I'd be a little upset about the "I love you" comments, however friendly they may be. But hugging? No problem. It's friendly. I think she's justified in being concerned.

I believe there is a fine line between boyfriend and friend. I think he is out of line. Sometimes the things that draw you to them are the exact things that will drive you apart such as being really friendly...

Yeh right, just real friendly. That is just his excuse to cover up what he is doing. Touching members of the opposite sex when in a relationship is disrespectful to the other party. It is better to keep you hands, hugs, and kisses on the person who you are with.

Some people are natrual flirts...usually harmless. But it would probably bother me a little bit. The physical thing would get old. She may need to break him down and tell him she is the only one getting the hugs.

I don't like those types of guys, personally. She'd probably be better off with someone else.
It's always a good thing that people should listen to their intution. If she's upset, it's not for lack of a reason.

I would keep an eye on him, it would bug me a bit...ok more than just a bit, it would really bug me but if it was limited to just hugging and I didn't suspect he was cheating I would just keep a close eye on him and if ever it went any further than just hugging I would dump him in a flash!

i really dont like the thought... if the guy is serious with your friend.. then he will minimize his being sweet to his girl friends. He should take the consequence to put a gap of being affectionate to his friends because some will think that it's flirting already...

Jump in there and hug her too. Call it a group hug. After a while he may get the picture and stop it.
