Im a big fan of Kat Von D that works at True Tattoo in LA and Miami Ink and she referenced Kore Flatmo as her favorite and he works out of Cincinnatti, OH at Plurabella Tattoo.

I have never got a tattoo and I want my first one to be with a respectable artist like these two.

Here in CA, artists charge about $100 an hour. However, given the celebrity aspect, their fees may be substantially more. Also, good artists are in high demand and have wait-lists. My friend here in NorCal has had her work featured in Savage magazine and currently has a 6 month or more wait list (and she knows some other artists that close their books 2 YEARS out!). You might want to contact your desired artist to get your name in ASAP.

i would just like to say that i am a big kat von d fan, as well as kore flatmo. i never knew she liked him, but i'm not surprised, he's amazing. like some of the other people said, they most likely have a huge waiting list, but a lot of hardcore tattoo collectors are known to fly around the world to get tattooed by their idols so it can be done. i'm sure it's worth the wait. good luck.

Just because someone is the on TV or a celebrity does not mean that others aren't just as good. I would look up places in your area and find out which ones are recommended the most ... go and check out the studio and the artists' work. You can determine if someone does quality work or not.

Coming from Kat Von D's website. If you look under "Contact" it reads as follows :"As far as pricing is concerned, there is a $500 minimum per client. Portrait pieces begin at $700 per piece, and final pricing is based on size."

because kat is a celebrity her rates are probably pretty high. many wonderful custom tattoo artists are about $100 an hour. mine is. and every state has great tattoo artists. do some research for artists in your area. just be sure you check portfolios and make sure they do tattoos that impress you. i love my tattoo artist. so if you are anywhere close... check him out.

I sure it more than she is worth. The question is how much does she get now compared to what she got before that stupid show. Probably $100 an hour.

I've looked into it too... Kat's minimum is $700. I don't remember off hand what her hourly rate is above that.
