Your best bet is to get a real tree , cause its in the kitties nature to climb trees . LOL!! I had one years ago that would do the same thing every Sunday morning whenI was already for Church and I'd always have to change and climb to get her down and get dressed for Church again until I finally decided to get her down before I got dressed for Church . LOL!! We always got a real Christmas Tree even though I was allergic , cause it was safer for Sooty than a fake one that isn't stable and might fall and hurt her . You have to have a real one in a secure stand where fake ones are in those flimsy plastic stands and can easily be toppled over by a mischeivious kitty . LOL!! Good luck and enjoy your kitty .

maximum cats discover christmas bushes to be fairly exciting. at the same time as my cat, Socrates, change right into a touch tiny kitten, he might want to truly climb up contained in the tree. It change into easily lovable, despite the indisputable fact that it would want to knock adorns off. We were given some lovable images of him contained in the tree and then banned that pastime. :) Now that my 2 cats are older, they truly purely celebrate with sitting less than the tree. If we dangle any adorns too low, they're going to bat at them until eventually they fall off and then bat them round on the floor. So we purely make constructive no longer to dangle any adorns too low. As for a cat who might want to easily attack the tree commonly b/c it really is a foriegn merchandise, my in straight forward words suggestion to be particular it doesn't ensue, is to save the cat out of the room the position the tree is until eventually the holidays are over. If the cat should be interior of an same room with the tree, save a sprig bottle close by and promises it a squirt each and every time the cat acts poorly in the direction of the tree.

OK, here is just a guess, but you can try it.
Spray catnip on different places...your cat will love the smell of catnip, and maybe she will stay away.
Also you can try putting a little spray (stay off spray) on a cloth, then putting it at the base of the tree, maybe removing it after ahwhile. I'm not really sure, guess I've never heard of that before. lol

I have a cat the same age. She tries to eat the branches of the tree...even though it's fake. Kinda funny...she was scared of it when she first saw it but now just wants to eat it. I don't get it...guess that's how cats are.

I'm not sure how feasible this is for you, but we have a train set that runs around the base of the tree. It freaks the cats out (we have three) enough that they don't bother the tree, it's not harmful to them, and it's cool to watch.

Lol cats love climbing trees all I can say is just let the cat climb it and don't waste your time on trying to prevent it because it is a tough battle.

First thing use your spell checker! As for your cat and the Christmas tree. It is a tree and cats love climbing trees and playing with shiny balls and things. He is a cat it is his job to climb trees. You will just have to get used to it.

Tie it down. Get some hooks or something from the hardware store to screw into the walls, but it works.
Get non-breakable ornaments and let the cat climb it.

let him climb the tree. replace all ornaments with non-breakable ones, counterweight the tree to support the weight of the cat, if the cats pees in or on the tree spray it with nature's miracle (it has a citrus scent to it).
