I do not see any proof of the constant accusations from homosexuals and others that this has ever happened. Has anyone ever witnessed this even if you are not homosexual? If no personal experiences and no witnesses, then scientifically it must not be factual! I can't always tell if they are. Some are better actors than others but conversation usually tells. Not all appear to be hating Christians until one begins telling them that their lifestyle is wrong, then it's "You're judging", "You're crazy", and their demons break forth with other such things and filthy name calling as well. Why is it the churchy homos love to gossip and to cause strife between people? I've witnessed this several times. Why is it they often and show up in churches with musical talents like playing organs, pianos, drums and marry Christian women? They teach or hang w/other young boys. Why do they mock Christian beliefs? Also, why are they so preoccupied with outward appearances? Why are many multi-taskers?

I wouldn't know what the ex is doing as I am not into hiring a detective or stalking! I don't know if he has a live partner of any sex or age. It's like not my concern now is it? He made his choices. Cheating is cheating no matter what. I pray for him and love him when I see him and that's my choice "Jayelle". If a woman's husband were homosexual, (I never said mine was by the way) you think she should keep sleeping with him? That's a separate question though and has nothing to do with this one. Also, since when is homosexual a derogatory term? Gay is a misnomer and incorrect use of grammar as far as I knew, honestly. I haven't been corrupted with the influences of the politically correct media as many have so you'll have to overlook it.

Don't know Fred Phelps. Doesn't sound as if the cab driver was a Christian whether he professed or not. Sorry for the lady who felt hated and abused. I wouldn't hurt anybody anywhere on purpose. I never picked on the gay in high-school. I still have unanswered questions here based on observations which are admittedly from another view than yours. Homos seem really good at making money also or is that a myth?

Thanks loopy-wolf! A Protestant and Catholic agree! What I was saying is that my observations and questions mostly concern the only homosexuals I've been around which were in a church setting and for the other posters, I don't watch T.V. anymore and only did for less than 2 years of my life and I'm not fearful of homosexuals. Their words don't hurt me so it's not like I think they are lurking around to do me other harm or something, really! Truly sorry for those who have experienced with proof hatred manifested whether or not it was from Christians. I do mean literal demons and that I have personal experience with having felt the awful presence of no matter what people say. God's presence and the devil's are both very real and totally opposite. Save that for another post!

Wow, I think there's some misunderstanding here....First of all, I'm straight, and I'm Catholic (practicing), and no, I do not hate homosexuals (oh and BTW I agree with that guy who answered before: homo is short for homosexual; although it can be used in a derogatory (sp?) fashion, I don't think that's the case in the asker's post). In fact, I love homosexuals, just as I love heterosexuals, because they are children of God. That doesn't mean I don't think they're misguided. Does that mean I'm prejudiced? No. It means I think they're wrong. As for the demon comment, I'm pretty sure the asker meant it in the way you'd say "battling your inner demons;" I don't think he meant literal demons. I agree with the asker on some things, although I wish he'd phrased other things better. I think it's undeniable that homosexuality has a much greater focus on outward/physical aspects than normal heterosexuality (when I say normal, I mean I'm discounting things like prostitution, etc., even if they are technically heterosexual.). I think that many homosexual people (note the use of the word: MANY, not ALL) take an overly defensive attitude toward certain ethical viewpoints, most notably Christianity. Of course, some people have experienced hatred or at least strong dislike for their sexual practices, but I think that's actually the minority of cases. It only makes sense that the relatively few instances of discrimination are emphasized by the proponents of homosexuality. That's natural for anybody to do about something they believe. But it doesn't mean that all gays are hateful toward Christians or all Christians are hateful toward gays. As for the rest of the asker's post about the musical instruments and "churchy homos," well to be quite honest, I kind of lost him at that point. It's not exactly...easy to follow.

One of the most annoying things I hear nearly every day (yes, I do personally know some gay people, btw) is how it's so wrong for people to "force their morals on other people." I heard this especially during the days leading up to a Nov. 6 (I live in Wisconsin, where a state constitutional amendment was passed defining marriage as btwn one man and one woman, and that no similar status would be granted to any other group.). Now, that doesn't mean there aren't ways around this--people can technically get "civil unions," and what isn't accorded the same status as marriage can be quite easily fixed by other means (for example, simply naming the homosexual partner as the beneficiary of your will; it just takes a little more work. Anyways, it bothered me to hear that because whenever you vote, you're "forcing your morals on other people." You vote based on your beliefs regarding ethics and morals (most people do anyway), and by voting, you're partaking in a process which will constitute the law for a certain area; hence you are helping to force a certain moral code on certain people.

Anyways, I hope that's not too rambling...In short, yes I bet some gays could say that a Christian (or non-Christian, for that matter) has demonstrated hatred or unkindness toward them based on their sexual lifestyle. That isn't a Christian act, which is unfortunate--so many Christians are Christian in name only. Does that mean I think gays ought never to be criticized? No. Do I think that their depiction of and view regarding sex is false? Yes. There, simple. No hateful words, no claims of "judging," nothing but simple statements of moral belief and hope that we can cause a change in society's depiction of sex, to make it less about personal pleasure and more about self-giving love, which it ultimately is.

Later all, try not to get too riled about these posts--you've gotta know that some people post just for the heck of ticking other people off. You're in my prayers.

well let us see here.

how many times have i seen "christians" turn into hate mongers?

well the KKK is actually a radical sect of the Protestent church.
and they are just a lovely jolly bunch of guys are'nt they.

when i was in highschool there were 3 gay people in the entire school. guess which cars were vandalised every day.
guess who had to watch where they walked and had to take crowded hallways everywhere (for protection from bigots)
97 percent of my school claimed to be Christian. this included the gay folks. i was on of the 8 pagans in the school. and the only reason that people did not bother me was because when i started shaveing in the 6th grade and by the 9th grade i was 6 feet tall and weighed over 300 pounds.

and let us not forget the wonderful folks at the Westburo Baptist Church. you know the "GOD HATES F##S" military funeral protestors.

you can say "i hate you" with much less or much more than 3 words.

for instance you can try to deny them the basic right to get married. if this is not hate i do not know what is.

1st sounds like your pretty judgmental by using the word "homo" did somebody leave you for the same sex mate? Lots of anger needed to dealt with. I have never personally witnessed a person saying such a thing. On PBS they discussed this very subject by the author of Knowing Paul the disciple. It is believed in the Jewish religion that like should not happen. Opposites are right, in my own words. A lot of Homosexuals can be pretty artistic. Some women are attracted to homosexuals, lots of times for looks. Where I work 25 percent are homosexuals including the big boss.No activities of signs of affection are displayed on and around the premises.Scientifically I grew up with what started to be a boy and he eventually grew both male and female organs, it was a tough life for that person growing up. I don't believe a true Christian will say I hate you, more like "I will pray for you!" and I will pray for you!

The church around the corner from my home growing up had a banner running across the front of the church saying, "God hates homosexuals."
There was consequently a discussion night we all went to at the church and in the end they apologised as they realised it was inciting hatred, but still believe this.
But it doesn't change the fact that gay people want equal rights (like Black people did, and christians did during roman times..)
So allow gay marriage! Gay adoption! Equality in life insurence. By block equality... this is hatred.

Yeah, I've seen it. It's not pretty.

You, young lady, are full of hate for something you don't understand. You are young and foolish, or at least I hope you are young and foolish. If you are old and foolish, there's hardly any hope for you.

More than likely, you know a gay person. They just haven't let you know, because you're homophobic.

Gay people are not gay because of a "demon." Do we live in the middle ages all of a sudden? You believe in Santa Claus too? The Easter Bunny?

When you learn about science, and what science is, then you can talk about science. Your ignorant mess of a "question" above proves you know nothing about science and nothing about people.

My question to you is - why are you so afraid of gay people? Maybe, deep inside, you don't want to admit that you were attracted to another woman once?

I would tell you to grow up, but it might be too late for you to get over your ignorant prejudices. Tell you what, you can print this out and go to your preacher and tell him you were persecuted online, and he'll pat you on your head and tell you you're "special."

Which you certainly, certainly are.

Who is Fred Phelps? How many times have you heard similar stuff. How often have you read it on here. And you still feel comfortable making that statement. The only thing is that most Xtians don't have the ability or courage to take personal responsibility for their bigotry and claim to speak for God instead.

Your question is totally dishonest.
You can not even avoid the use of an insulting epithet as you ask it.

I am not gay but You are offensive even to me.

i've been kicked out of a cab after telling the driver that i was gay finally after repeated unwanted advances. i'm regularly told i'm going to hell and will burn eternally. i've been threatened physically. all in the name of god and jesus christ. you don't see any proof because you're not queer. my woman is a christian and her mother an ordained minister of god and she sees more than even i do. she has people tell her awful stories of abuse by suppossedly christian people. you don't really have a question, do you? just here to vent about your ex boyfriend came out or it happened to a friend of yours?the hypocrytical christians that hate in the name of god are the ones mocking your faith. just because you don't see abuse, doesn't mean it's not rampant like just because you can't see your god doesn't lessen your belief there.

i'm not a 'homo'. while driving across country in 98? or 99? we stopped in Laramie, WY because of a snowstorm. it happened to be the day after that kid was beaten to death for being gay. i'm sure at least one of the perps was nominally christian, so there you go....
