The historical St. Nicolas was a bishop of the Church so certainly he was a Christian. But the modern image of Santa Claus is a mixture of Christian and Pagan beliefs.

Well, St. Nicholas was a Christian, but do you consider him the same as Santa?

He was a real man and he was a Christian. He unselfishly gave of his time and his money to make and deliver toys to children who were poor. The word "Santa" actually means "Saint."

the original 'saint nicolas' was a turkish christian bishop

his name (and story) have been altered down through the years but it did have its origins in a real man who apparently really did give anonymous gifts to the nice children but none to the naughty ones once a year

What do you mean "if he were real"!!! Of course he is real. And he is a Christian. A Roman Catholic, or maybe an Orthodox come to think of it. His original home was in Asia Minor.

ACtually no. Santa claims to know who is good and bad and make judgements and give rewards. This is reserved for God only not any man. And besides the only thing he does is make people want earthly treasures

Nope. He's a fictitious character, whose modern styling is the handi-work of Coke to sell a product.
