if 50% of yearly sales ,is during the month of december,with out christmas would the american economy crash?

yess christmas is not what it used to be..it is more of a commercial holiday meant for retail stores across the nation to boost their profits

Christmas should be about celebrating the Birth of Christ!

Merchants have turned Christmas into a money making scheme. I honestly do not know if the American economy would crash if Christmas was not celebrated by giving gifts.

Yes, Christmas is a giant money-maker. That is why Revelation says that when Babylon the Great (the world empire of false religion, who celebrate Christmas) is destroyed by this world's political system, the merchants of the world grieve.

It sure seems like it. I work retail and without Christmas we're doomed. We always have to make sure we go over in sales each year to pay for everything.
