Fiesty little things! Well, our dogs regularly killed and ate our chickens (they roam on the property without a fence, but the dogs are restrained) but it didnt affect them. They just like chicken I guess! I would worry too much, unless of course you see signs of illness in your dogs. After all, they didnt eat the squirrel, did they? When I lived in Alabama, I went to stay the weekend in Mississippi with some friends and their cousin had a skinned squirrel soaking in the sink when I woke in the morning(eek!) freaked me out. Well, the cousin was a girl, who went squirrel hunting most every morning for their breakfast.:-) I believe my own Dad who was a real backwoods country boy growing up ate squirrels and all kinds of critters from the woods. Times were hard. I could bet all will be fine darlin!

I consistently sense so sorry after I attempt this too! do not problem, you aren't to any extent further on my own. purely pray to God (or perhaps if that you've faith in) and they are going to tell the squirrel in Heaven (once lower back, even if that you've faith in) how sorry you sense! Squirrels do not stay lengthy besides, so don't be unhappy. even if it is also reliable to sense undesirable, because of you probably did not, you may want to be chilly-hearted! i wish this helped:)

hmmmm, my first thought is, if they where able to get the squirrel, there must be something wrong with it before this!! they are not easy to caught! even without scratches, I'm sure they got blood in their mouths!! this is touf one! i would call the vet. & ask them!! do they have thier shots?? if so, they will probliy be ok!! i know you love them, but you should also adress the issue of them killing another animal!! some times it can lead to atacting other larger animal, & then people!!!

No, they are fine, unless the squirrel bit them. If the squirrel bit either of them, check with your vet to make sure all is well.
good luck
gotta love shih tzu's!

I would take them in, just in case. There are diseases which can be transmitted via blood from the squirrel, such as rabies, and certain worms and nemotodes which can be fatal in the long run.

If they are up to date on their shots I wouldn't worry about it. They can get rabies, or fleas but that would probably be it.
If they are not current on shots I would take them in.
My cat sadly kills birds all the time and is fine never gotten sick or anything...I just wish she would stop!

If you ever have doubts with something that might be wrong, then just go and take them to the vet just to get them checked out. It can never hurt anything ( except maybe your wallet. ) :)

Bones for the dogs! My Yorkie has been obsessed with them. I would advise on calling your vet and seeing what they suggest. Good luck and many woofs!

definitely take them to the vet to be checked out. if they attacked then they probably ingested blood which could carry disease. no harm in being cautious.
