I am still sort of friends after we broke up we were more good friends but then later on I changed work and ended up meeting someone and getting married. Now it is nothing we just say hello and how eachother are going through work but other then that it's nothing!! I don't see why not you can both still be friends it just shows that bringing it to the next level wasn't working but just being friends does!!

Absolute train wreck every time. There's billions of people on this planet... how about putting your time into making a new friend rather than trying to turn an ex into a friend?

i sort of know where you are coming from because i have been in the same situation. you just have to set your feelings aside and look at him in a different perspective. it may take a while for you to get past the emotional part of it all but one day you will see that you two can still be the best of friends

I have tried. But it usually doesn't work out. You know too much about each other. And it's hard to resist getting mad when you find out he has a new gf. And problems can start if the gf doesn't like him speaking to you. It's usually just drama. You can stay kool, but dont speak on a day to day basis.

Nothing wrong with that honey, Consider yourself lucky. I wish I could still be freinds with my ex and father of my kids, but he is unwilling and that makes it really hard for my kids sake. Even after 5 years being divorced he still loves to push my buttons as often as he can and that really hurts. More power to you.

Ya, me and my exboyfriend have been friends for a while now. After we broke up, we couldn't even talk to each other but we started getting attracted to each other again so now we're BEST friends! He's the greatest thing that's happened to me!

i think that staying friends with an ex is like not putting closure on it and seeing them with someone else hurts no matter how far u have moved on with ur life ...so its just better to leave the past to the past
