It is all in the perspective of the individual. If you percieve stress, you will be stressed. Some people think that living in a high energy environment is normal, and for them it is just right. However, some people may feel incredible stress in the same situation. So it is totally subjective. We all need some stress in order to keep life from boring us to death. It's a matter of degree.

Stress can kill I agree. But in this high speed environment we can always decide to take it easy. Our life is still something we can control. THe outside world is but an adventure. We can still slow down and take time to smell the roses. I do anyway and I make it a point that I live in this world but not of this world. The world does not own me but I can do something with the world.

I think that it is definitely contributing to a lot of health problems in our society. Our job and daily demands of life and the speed at which they happen do not allow use to do things with proper mechanics and posture and that leads to a lot of injuries. Plus the stress contributes to a lot of emotion and psychological issues.

Yes, many illnesses we suffer are stress related. If our living conditions did not cause our illnesses, they certainly exacerbated them.
