It has been raining, sleeting, and snowing all day and now it's 11:00 and there is about 2-3 inches of ice and snow and they are going out to go mess around in the snow and ice in my bro-in law's jeep. Call me weird, but I think it's just plain stupid!

This all relative.

It depends on your background and their background. What may be very risky to you may have very little risk to your husband and brother in law.

Let me give you an example. My sons used to motocross race on motorcycles in their teen age years. You want to see madness, watch about twenty or thirty motorcycles take off in one of these races. It looks like a bunch of ants crawling all over an apple.

OK, now to me, this was very risky behavior but to them it was not. If I was to go out and try to motocross race it would be crazy but for them, it was cake. By the way, they were very good at this even though it scared the hell out of me.

If these two frequently exhibit crazy, risky behavior, you may have cause to worry.

By the way, my wife and I have had discussions, some of them heated over what I considered very risky and what she considered very risky.

Sounds like to me that you are very concerned about them getting hurt-----that is a good trait in you.

Hope this helps you see another side of this situation.

Good luck

Nope. A good snow storm is the absolute best time to put it in 4 wheel drive and do it. Might even make a few extra bucks pulling 2 wheelers out of the snow drifts providing they remembered to bring along the tow strap. Why didn't you bundle up and go with?

OK your hubby and his brother are in the I can't get stuck in a JEEP mode.........Be ready to go get them and be sure to laugh at them.
My Brother took my Dad's jeep out and called to say he turned it over on the ice in a parking lot.....
THey accelerate in the snow and ice great. it is the stopping that brings 'em back to earth. Tell them it is 4 wheel drive that doesn't include braking also....And let's get 'er into a slide....OOPS pavement and over she goes....Oh ya laugh all the way back home...

We are iced in too.... some snow.... but icey roads.... icey everything. Yes, stupid.... and men are sometimes just boys in bigger bodies.... and more expensive toys. Instead of of little model jeeps... they got the real thing!

Say a prayer for them.... and keep 911 on the speed dial.

Best Wishes,

Sue
